January 2012

Enerco - Barracuda JV, which was created for the Green Dot contract, has been officially registered as a limited liability company in Cyprus with the commercial nameQ Waste Is Mine Ltd (WIM). WIM will be managin the contract with Green Dot and the president Mr. Antonios Antoniou has signed the contract with Green Dot (Cyprus) on WIM's behalf.

September 2011

Enerco has received the town planning permit for the new facility in Mari, Larnaca. Preparation for the build permit applications underway.

April 2011

The Enerco-Barracuda JV has been selected as the preferred bidder for Green Dot's contract for the management of all household collected recyclables. Negotiations for the contract signing initiated.

January 2011

Enerco along with Barracuda Intertrade Ltd, as a Joint Venture, have entered into a competition for the management of all household recyclables (PMD and PAPER) collected from the collective system of Green Dot (Cyprus). The proposal includes the commisioning of a technologically advanced Material Recovery Facility, in the same location with the RDF plant.

June 2010

The company, in co-operation with Vassiliko Cement Works, entered into an agreement with Green Dot Cyprus for the waste management of Green Dot collected household glass waste.

February 2010

Proposals from internationally recognised RDF processing equipment companies are being evaluated for the new RDF plant at Mari, in Larnaca district.

January 2010

As of January 1st, 2010 Enerco has been awarded a sub-contract by Vassiliko Cement Works for the handling and shredding of waste tyres to be used as alternative fuels.

December 2009

The management team of Enerco, with the assistance of specialised Consultants has  submitted an application to the local Town Planning authority for a town planning permit for the new plant. The application is under review.
